Description:
As Canada’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Christopher Alexander has established an Embassy with a staff of more than 30, disbursed $250 million in assistance, and overseen 1,950 Canadian troops in the International Security Assistance Force. He has also served as Minister Counsellor at the Canadian Embassy in Moscow, Deputy Director (Russia), Eastern Europe Division, the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Second Secretary & Vice Consul, Canadian Embassy, Moscow. With his experience on the ground in Afghanistan, he is well equipped to present an account of the current situation in that country.

Description:
At the centre of the foreign policy debate in Germany for the last twenty-five years, Karsten Voigt is one of the most respected authorities on European and Transatlantic relations. He has been a senior member of the German Social Democratic Party, a member of the Federal Bundestag where he served as Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and Deputy Chair of the Defence Committee. Further, he served as Chairman of the Defence and Security Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO and, most recently, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO. He has held his current position since 1999 and is responsible for strengthening transatlantic relations.
