On 28 October, 2003 United States Ambassador to Canada Paul Cellucci gave a candid speech in which he reviewed the key issues facing the bilateral relationship. Ambassador Cellucci stated that the United States was a force for good in the world, and identified a series of areas where the Canada-United States relationship was strong.
