Alice Fazooli's Patio

On Thursday July 23rd, CIC-Toronto Branch held its third annual Midsummer Evening Get-Together. Almost one hundred CIC members and friends gathered on the patio of Alice Fazooli's in downtown Toronto. This evening was informal, and members networked and talked for hours over delicious hors d’oeuvres.

Keith Martin, President of the CIC Toronto Branch, briefly called everyone’s attention, and thanked them for their involvement with the CIC. Next, Douglas Goold, former CIC President and 2009-10 CIC Research Fellow discussed the top ten issues affecting the world today. His brief talk ranged from the financial crisis to Afghanistan. Lastly, Joanne Davis, Toronto Branch Programming Chair, announced the exciting upcoming Toronto events, which has come off its most active and successful programming year ever.

Mr. Goold’s notes can be found in the attachment Douglas Good Speech 23 June
