On Thursday, 16 October 2008, the Canadian International Council hosted Ambassador Mei Ping, Senior Visiting Fellow from the Centre for International Governence Innovation, Chairman of the China National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation and Former Chinese Ambassador to Canada (1998-2005). Seventy people gathered over lunch in the Windsor Ballroom at the King Edward Hotel to hear the Ambassador's forceful speech about the Future of Canada-China Relations.
