About the
CIC
For 75 years
the CIC, formally known as the CIIA,
has helped Canadians obtain
a better understanding of foreign
policy and global issues through an
extensive programme of public
education. As a non-profit,
charitable organisation, the CIC is
commited to building a foreign policy
community and international affairs
constituency from coast to coast.
CIC activities, publications and
speakers programs help interested
Canadians acquire the foreign policy
and international affairs knowledge
and understanding essential for
individual, corporate, and national
success in the world today. The
Institute is the only private
voluntary organisation in Canada
concerned with the whole range of
global issues and has established
close relations with business,
government, the media, universities,
opinion leaders, and like-minded
institutions throughout Canada and
the world.Visit the national site at www.onlinecic.org.

See the World through
Canadian
Eyes
The mandate of the Canadian
International Council is to promote a deeper
understanding of international affairs
and of Canada's role in a changing
world by providing members with a
non-partisan, nation-wide forum for
informed discussion, analysis and
debate. By bringing together all
interested parties - private sector,
government, academia, NGO
representatives, as well as the
concerned public - to examine global
issues through a distinctively Canadian
lens, the CIC contributes a unique
perspective on Canada's place in the
world.
